Home Depot has listed a Husky laser distance measuring tool for $34.17, according to ToolGuyd. The device is described as measuring up to 60 feet, with stated accuracy of ±1/8 inch, a backlit display and a rechargeable battery; independent testing and availability details are not provided in the report.
Home Depot has listed a new Husky laser distance measuring tool at a reported price of $34.17, according to ToolGuyd, which said it spotted the product on the retailer’s website. The compact measuring device is advertised with a 60-foot range, a backlit display and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, giving shoppers a new option in the lower-priced laser measure category.
ToolGuyd reports that the Husky tool’s stated measurement accuracy is ±1/8 inch. It offers readings in feet, inches or meters and charges through a USB-C port. The report describes it as a single-button model: one control appears to handle powering the device on, recording a measurement and changing units. Those details are based on the product information and the publication’s inspection of the listing; the report does not provide results from independent accuracy testing.
The listed price is $34.17, which ToolGuyd characterizes as around the average for a consumer-grade laser distance measurer. The outlet said the listing was present when it published its report, but did not state whether the item was in stock, available in stores or offered for delivery at that time. Prices and inventory can vary, and the source does not provide a later availability check.
ToolGuyd also compared the Husky with a Hoto laser measure it said costs about $40. The publication lists the Hoto’s range as 98 feet and its stated accuracy as ±1/16 inch, along with Bluetooth connectivity. It also mentioned the Bosch GLM100-23 as another option, but that comparison is the publication’s shopping commentary, not a claim that either alternative is part of Home Depot’s launch.
A Low-Cost Option for Home Measuring
The Husky listing gives shoppers another option for tasks where a tape measure can be awkward, such as checking room dimensions, estimating furniture clearances or measuring longer spans alone. At $34.17, its appeal is its combination of a stated 60-foot reach, unit selection and USB-C charging at a price ToolGuyd describes as typical for consumer models.
Buyers weighing the listing against other devices may want to compare more than the price. The Husky’s stated ±1/8-inch accuracy and 60-foot range differ from the specifications ToolGuyd cites for the Hoto model, while the source does not establish how either performs in independent testing. The Husky’s rechargeable battery may suit people who prefer USB-C charging, while others may prefer replaceable batteries. The product’s practical value will depend on availability, ease of use and how reliably it measures in the settings where a buyer plans to use it.

How the Husky Listing Was Spotted
The report is based on a product listing that ToolGuyd’s writer said they noticed while shopping for another item on Home Depot’s website. ToolGuyd disclosed that it may earn an affiliate commission if readers buy through its links. That disclosure is relevant to the outlet’s coverage, though it does not change the specifications attributed to the listing.
The source frames the Husky as a basic consumer laser measurer and compares it with other compact models rather than presenting a formal product review. It describes the Hoto’s greater stated range and tighter stated accuracy, and the writer says they favor the Bosch GLM100-23 among basic options. These are the author’s comparisons and preferences; the report does not provide a side-by-side test of the products.
“Its accuracy is said to be ±1/8″.”

Availability and Testing Still Unclear
The source does not specify when the listing first appeared or whether the tool is still available at the reported $34.17 price. It also does not give a product number, store inventory, shipping details or a release announcement from Home Depot or Husky. Readers should check the retailer’s current listing for price and stock information.
The report provides advertised specifications but no independent measurements of range or accuracy, battery runtime, charging time or durability. It also does not explain whether the device stores previous readings, calculates area or volume, or offers other functions beyond the described measurement and unit controls. Those features should not be assumed from the information available.
Check the Retail Listing for Updates
The next practical step for shoppers is to consult Home Depot’s current product page or contact a local store to confirm price, stock and delivery options. The source does not identify a scheduled launch date, broader rollout or upcoming announcement, so none can be confirmed from the report.
If further product details or hands-on testing become available, they could clarify how the tool performs and what functions it supports. For now, the confirmed reporting is limited to ToolGuyd’s observation of the listing and the product details it attributes to that page; independent performance results remain unavailable.
